Description: Deputy Page was shot with his own gun when he pursued a suspect into the woods. Deputy Page responded to a suspicious one-car automobile accident where a suspect had hit a utility pole and ran from the accident scene. Deputy Page pursued the suspect on foot into the nearby woods. Deputy Page was struck over the head by the suspect who then took his service weapon and shot him several times. Deputy Page was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
