Description: Constable Pruitt and a deputy raided a dice game. One of the suspects drew a gun and shot Constable Pruitt twice in the lower abdomen. Constable Pruitt returned fire, striking the suspect. Constable Pruitt died the next day. The suspect, while hospitalized, was shot and killed by Constable Pruitt's brother, who was then charged with murder.
