Description: Officer Perkins was shot and killed while attempting to question a man whom he believed to be soliciting prostitutes. Officer Perkins began searching the suspect when the man suddenly broke free, pulled out a pistol, and shot him. Officer Perkins walked for a block before collapsing. The suspect was convicted of murder and executed.
