Description: Deputy Sheriff Parrish was ambushed and shot as he attempted to investigate a tip regarding the possible location of a moonshine still. The deputy's younger brother had accompanied him and was also shot and killed. Although mortally wounded, Deputy Parrish returned fire and killed their assailant, who was a known moonshiner.
