Description: Police Officer Parete died as a result of a gunshot wound sustained six years earlier on December 5, 2006, while responding to a fight. Officer Parete and her partner were both shot by one of the suspects involved in the fight. Officer Parete was shot in the neck and suffered paralysis. Officer Parete died of complications from the gunshot wound on February 2, 2013. Officer PareteŸ??s partner survived the incident. The suspect was apprehended.
