Description: Undersheriff Pyette was struck and killed while directing traffic around the scene of a disabled truck. A vehicle attempting to pass the disabled truck struck Undersheriff Pyette. Undersheriff Pyette was transported to a hospital where he died as a result of head and upper body injuries. Undersheriff Pyette was wearing a reflective vest and other reflective gear at the time of the accident.
