Description: Special Deputy Pentz was accidentally shot when his revolver discharged as he was placing it underneath the seat of the buggy he was riding in. He was entering the buggy which was to take him to the train and then to High Bridge to act as the Special Deputy that day. Special Deputy Pentz sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and died several hours later.
