Description: Police Officer Poull was shot when he responded to a call that two fellow officers were being held at gunpoint by a suspect. When Officer Poull arrived at the scene, the suspect fired and fatally shot Officer Poull in the heart. The suspect, who was wanted for another murder, was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with an officer and then taken into custody. The suspect was convicted of murder executed by hanging.
