Description: Patrolman Perkins was investigating a suspicious disabled motor vehicle by the local railroad tracks. After detecting that the occupants in the vehicle were intoxicated, Patrolman Perkins began to search the vehicle. During the search an occupant in the back seat sat up and opened fired on him. Patrolman Perkins was taken to the local hospital where he slipped into coma and died four days later.
