Description: Deputy Parsons was on routine foot patrol when a citizen approached him in a vehicle. Words were exchanged and the citizen produced a weapon and fired several times at Deputy Parsons. Deputy Parsons did not have a chance to draw his weapon. He was pronounced dead at the scene with more than ten gunshot wounds to his body.
