Description: Deputy Parker responded to a call to assist a person needing help with a stuck vehicle. Unbeknownst to Deputy Parker, the driver was a fugitive wanted for bank robbery in Iowa and a murder in Alabama. Deputy Parker, who thought he was responding to a traffic matter, took the suspect to his patrol car for a talk. Once inside the cruiser, the suspect shot and killed Deputy Parker. The suspect then dragged Deputy Parker's body from the car and tried to make his getaway in the patrol car. The suspect was caught, pled guilty to the murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
