Description: Sergeant Phillips was on patrol when his vehicle became stuck in a snow drift. Sergeant called a tow truck, then attempted to remove the snow around the front wheels of his vehicle. By the time the tow truck arrived, Sergeant Phillips lay unconscious, facedown in the snow. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
