Description: Officer Parkinson was in pursuit of a suspect who had robbed a woman of money and a watch. A citizen was able to seize the suspect but as Officer Parkinson approached, the suspect broke free and shot Officer Parkinson in the left side. Officer Parkinson was taken home and doctors were called. Officer Parkinson suffered major internal injuries and nothing could be done to save him. He died the next day.
