Description: <P>Deputy Sheriff Pruitt was struck by the suspect vehicle as he attempted to arrest a bootlegger. Deputy Pruitt and fellow officers blocked the road and surrounded the car when it approached. The driver threw the car into reverse, striking Deputy Pruitt. Deputy Pruitt was transported to the hospital where he died of internal injuries. The bootlegger was arrested. </P>
