Description: Trooper Patrick was shot and killed while investigating a vehicle parked on the interstate with flat tires. Trooper Patrick saw a man walking up an exit ramp on eastbound Interstate 80 and offered assistance. The suspect produced a handgun and shot Trooper Patrick fatally in the head. Trooper Patricks' body was found on the pavement by a passing truck driver.
