Description: Patrol Officer Patton succumbed to a heart attack while engaged in the foot pursuit of a suspect during a disturbance call. Officer Patton joined the foot pursuit and ran through terrain consisting of hills and partially wooded areas in inclement weather. Officer Patton stopped momentarily to rest, started to run again, and then collapsed due to a cardiac incident. Officer Patton was taken to the hospital where he died. The suspect was arrested.
