Description: Police Officer Ponder was shot when he attempted to investigate a possible burglary in progress of a wholesale liquor store. Officer Ponder found the door unsecured and went inside. Officer Ponder was shot twice and died at the scene. Several arrests were made but no one was charged with his murder.
