Description: Deputy Sheriff Pastrano was shot as he attempted to arrest a murder suspect wanted regarding the death of U.S. Deputy Marshal Charles Fusselman. Deputy Pastrano received a tip that the suspect was at a party and went to arrest him. As Deputy Pastrano entered the room, the suspect called out to him then shot Deputy Pastrano in the head. The suspect fled on horseback and was not captured.
