Description: Police Officer Phillips was killed in a motorcycle crash while serving as an escort during a funeral procession. Officer Phillips was in full uniform, on his department motorcycle with his lights and siren activated as he attempted to maneuver to the front of the funeral procession. A vehicle in the procession made a U-turn directly into the path of Officer Phillips and struck his motorcycle. Officer Phillips was thrown from his motorcycle and died at the scene.
