Description: Deputy Parks was shot and killed as he escorted his date from a local dance. Several weeks prior to his death, Deputy Parks was attempting to arrest two cowboy brothers when a struggle ensued and one of the brothers was killed. At the trial, under sworn testimony, the surviving brother confessed he had shot and killed Deputy Parks in an act of revenge for his brother's death.
