Description: Deputy Patterson responded to a disturbance call where windows at a local church were broken. The three suspects were still on the scene when Deputy Patterson arrived. While attempting to arrest the suspects, one of them produced a weapon and shot Deputy Patterson in the abdomen. Deputy Patterson died of his injuries the next day.
