Description: Watchman Pullen and his partner witnessed an off-duty fellow officer surrounded by four threatening men. The lawmen went to help and were able to arrest three of the men. As they were taking the suspects to headquarters, Watchman Pullen was attacked and struck over the head several times by a man wielding a club. A doctor was called but was unable to successfully treat Watchman Pullen and he died of head injuries later that day.
