Description: Patrolman Quinlivan was investigating the reported sighting of four gunmen who had committed an armed robbery of the Marwell House nightclub. Patrolman Quinlivan interrupted the bandits as they were dividing their loot at a back table in the Colonie Inn. Patrolman Quinlivan was mortally wounded by one of the four bandits who fired at him from a gun concealed under the table. Patrolman Quinlivan was able to return fire and kill the robber, who was also a suspect in the murders of Captain Albert Youmans, Patrolman John.
