Description: Patrolman Roth was shot and killed for refusing to provide protection to a gang of bootleggers in Wayne County. The gang members had threatened Patrolman Roth for over a year before killing him. Patrolman Roth was killed in his home while eating breakfast. Six suspects were arrested and charged with murder.
