Description: Deputy Riches was shot and killed after being ambushed at a convenience store. He was on routine patrol when he pulled to the store's front entrance. A man exited the store and immediately opened fire on him with an AK47 assault rifle. Deputy Riches was shot several times while seated inside his patrol cruiser. At least one round penetrated the back of his vest.
