Description: Trooper Rucker was fatally shot during a routine traffic stop. The suspect fled the scene and was stopped a few minutes later by Los Fresnos Patrolman Enrique Carrisalez. As Patrolman Carrisalez approached the vehicle, he was also shot by the suspect. Patrolman Carrisalez died of his injuries nine days later. The suspect was convicted of murder and executed by lethal injection.
