Description: Officer Romero was killed in a motorcycle accident while on patrol. While waiting for a red light to change, a driver under the influence of narcotics struck his department motorcycle from behind. Although Officer Romero tried to gain the driver's attention by turning on his emergency lights, he was struck from behind and thrown to the ground. Officer Romero was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
