Description: Patrolman Robertson and his partner Patrolman S. Ivey were responding to an emergency call with lights flashing when their patrol vehicle collided with another car. The other vehicle failed to yield to the emergency warning on the patrol car and also the ambulance that was following the patrol car. The patrol car avoided a the oncoming car and struck a telephone pole. The Officers were transported to a local hospital where Patrolman Robertson died of his injuries the next day. Patrolman Ivey suffered minor injuries.
