Description: Master Public Safety Officer Richardson was shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop. Officer Richardson and two fellow officers were questioning the suspect when the suspect produced a handgun and began firing. Officer Richardson and a second officer were both shot. Officer Richardson was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The second officer survived his injuries. The suspect was shot and wounded in the incident and taken into custody.
