Description: Officer Rivera was shot and killed while attempting to break up a disturbance at a local dance hall. Officer Rivera was inside of the dance hall when he heard two gun shots fired outside. When he went to investigate, he was shot three times. Officer Rivera was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds later that evening. The suspect was found guilty of murder and received a life sentence.
