Description: Deputy Sheriff Reardon was shot as he attempted to arrest a group of workers who were on strike in an incident that became known as the Wheatland Hop Riot. District Attorney Edmund Manwell and two workers were also killed in the ensuing riot. A suspect was arrested and charged with murder.
