Description: Corporal Richterkessing was fatally shot in the back of the head, in an act of retaliation, by a patrolman who was angry that Corporal Richterkessing had reported his failure to make his assigned post on several occasions. The patrolman was 10 minutes late for duty on the evening when he shot Corporal Richterkessing. The patrolman was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
