Description: Police Officer Ramsburg was screening passengers for a departing flight when he was shot from behind during an attempt to hijack a commercial airliner at the Baltimore/Washington International Airport. The hijacker also shot and killed the co-pilot of the airplane and seriously injured the pilot. An Anne Arundel County Police officer fired several shots through the cabin window of the plane fatally wounding the hijacker. The hijacker then committed suicide.
