Description: Patrolman Richter was killed in an automobile accident while in pursuit of a traffic violator. Patrolman Richter was attempting to apprehend a speeding car on River Avenue when he lost control of his cruiser, careened off the highway and into a tree. He was transported to a local hospital with a concussion and internal bleeding. Patrolman Richter died five days later.
