Description: Agent Reynolds was killed during a moonshine operation raid conducted by a posse of local and federal agents in Johnson County, Kentucky. The lawmen had received word that a still was being operated on a farm. As the officers approached the cabin, shots were fired. A gunbattle ensued killing Agent Reynolds, Town Marshal James Melvin and wounding Deputy Manuel Fitzpatrick. Five suspects were arrested. Two suspects were convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
