Description: Sheriff Rattazzi was killed in a single-vehicle crash when he lost control of the vehicle from the crest of a hill and plunged into a gully. Sheriff Rattazzi was thrown from the vehicle and died of internal injuries at the scene. Sheriff Rattazzi was returning from a business trip to Palisade when the crash occurred.
