Description: Patrolman Rittenhouse was killed in an automobile accident during the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan. While returning to the department from an emergency call, Patrolman Rittenhouses' patrol car went out of control on rain-slicked U.S. 27 and hydroplaned. The patrol unit flipped down an embankment and crashed, killing Patrolman Rittenhouse instantly.
