Description: Constable Rhodes was shot and killed by a suspect wanted for hog theft in Henderson County. Constable Rhodes saw the suspect attempting to hide behind some bushes alongside an old country road. When he ordered the suspect to come out with his hands in the air, the suspect shot Constable Rhodes. Constable Rhodes died the next day on Christmas Eve.
