Description: Trooper Ruch and Trooper Barnes were pursuing a suspect who was speeding. The suspect lost control of his vehicle in icy road conditions. Both vehicles crashed injuring Trooper Ruch critically. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died. Trooper Barnes was hospitalized with a fractured leg.
