Description: Sheriff Roach was in his office when he was approached by his deputy who was upset regarding his salary. The deputy reached into the Sheriff?s drawer and gained control of the revolver. The deputy shot Sheriff Roach twice with his own gun, killing him. Lois, the wife of Sheriff Roach, was appointed Sheriff and is believed to be the first woman in the U.S. to hold the position.
