Description: Officer Rogers responded to a disturbance call in the parking lot of a local middle school. Officer Rogers was the first officer on the scene and attempted to break up the fight. Officer Rogers was assaulted by both suspects but continued his attempt to separate the two juveniles until back-up officers arrived. After the suspects were handcuffed and placed into the police units, Officer Rogers collapsed. He was transported to a local hospital where he died of a heart attack shortly after arrival.
