Description: Deputy Roberts was shot when he intervened in a turkey shoot that erupted into a personal feud. Several men were engaged in a turkey shoot but then turned the guns on each other when the competition grew violent. Deputy Roberts was shot as he attempted to stop the gun fight. His assailant fled into the woods.
