Description: Deputy Rosa was shot and killed while on her way to work at the Los Angeles County Jail. At least two armed suspects attempted to rob Deputy Rosa as she left her residence. Deputy Rosa, who was shot twice with a .22-caliber handgun, was found by a newspaper delivery man slumped over the trunk of her car. Deputy Rosa's service weapon and badge were on the ground next to her body. One suspect was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to 29 years to life in prison
