Description: Deputy Roohan opened the cell door of a convicted murderer who was to be executed in a few days. The convict pushed aside an inmate trustee who was distributing food, seized Deputy Roohan around the body, grabbed the knife the jailer wore in his belt and stabbed him in the neck, heart and lungs. Deputy Roohan died at the scene.
