Description: Trooper Raspa was killed in a single-vehicle crash while on patrol. Trooper Raspa and his partner were patrolling I-195 when a deer entered the roadway. Trooper Raspa lost control of the vehicle while unsuccessfully attempting to avoid the deer. The front left of the vehicle struck the deer. After impact, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Trooper Raspa was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. His partner was treated at a local hospital and released.
