Description: On October 21, 2016, Captain Ray apprehended a burglary suspect after a foot pursuit. Captain Ray was unable to catch his breath and was sweating profusely. He did not seek medical care and finished his shift. Captain Ray was off duty the following day. He complained of fatigue and shortness of breath and declined to participate in any customary family activities. Captain Ray died of a heart attack in the early morning hours of October 23, 2016.
