Description: Sergeant Renfro was struck and killed while off-duty and assisting parties involved in a minor traffic crash. Sergeant Renfro allowed a woman and her infant to sit in his personal vehicle while State Troopers, with emergency equipment activated, worked the crash scene. While Sergeant Renfro was standing outside of his vehicle, the driver of a SUV lost control of the vehicle on the icy road and struck Sergeant Renfro, pinning him between the vehicles. Sergeant Renfro died instantly.
