Description: Police Officer Rhoads was killed in a vehicle crash while operating his department issued police cruiser. Officer Rhoads was on-duty, traveling to a training exercise when his vehicle was struck from behind, causing his vehicle to spin out of control into on-coming traffic. Officer Rhoads' vehicle was then struck from behind again and his vehicle left the roadway, stopping just off the shoulder of the road. Officer Rhoads was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
