Description: Patrolman Riebsamen and Constable McCasey were shot as they assisted a Luzerne county deputy serve eviction papers at a home that was sold in a sheriff's sale. The lawmen were attacked first with rocks and then by gunfire. Patrolman Riebsamen sustained a gunshot wound to the head and died hours later. Constable McCasey survived the incident.
