Description: Deputy Sheriff Rohrer and Deputy Sheriff Theresa were shot as they transported an inmate from a court hearing to the Wyandotte County Jail. The inmate disarmed Deputy Rohrer and shot both deputies with the service weapon. Deputy King returned fire and wounded the inmate before she was shot. Both deputies were transported to the hospital where Deputy Rohrer died. Deputy King died the following day.
